SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – After falling to Grace College on the road Friday night, the Spring Arbor University volleyball team responded with a four-set victory over Huntington University on Saturday afternoon inside the McDonald Athletic Center.

FINAL SCORE: Grace def. Spring Arbor 3-1 (25-20, 25-19, 12-25, 26-24)

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Grace captured the first two sets, but Spring Arbor staved off the sweep with a 25-12 win in set four.
- The Cougars trailed 21-14 in set four, but battled all the way back to tie the score at 24-24. However, the Lancers would take the next two points to win the set and match.
- Reigning Crossroads League Attacker of the Week Sydney Ritz finished with a team-high 12 kills with Alison Ford adding 10. Claudia Ellis and Kyara Black chipped in seven apiece.
- Annica Stotz handed out a season-high 25 assists while also picking up 13 digs for a double-double. Stephaney Fifield anchored the defense with 21 digs and Black finished with five blocks.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor earned its first Crossroads League victory of the season against Huntington on Saturday.
- The two teams split the first two sets before the home team claimed a pivotal third set. SAU trailed 16-10 midway through the frame, but a 6-0 run helped erased the deficit. The Cougars finished the set on a 15-6 run to take a 2-1 set lead.
- Behind a boisterous crowd, Spring Arbor would go up 6-2 in the fourth set and never look back.
- Kasey Follis led the way for SAU with a season-best 11 kills, including the final kill of the match to secure the win. Ritz, Black and Ford all followed with nine kills each. Hope Notter dished out 21 assists and Stotz closed the match with 18.
- Fifield and Ritz finished with 19 and 16 digs, respectively, and Ellis had four blocks.

Spring Arbor will play its next three matches on the road, beginning with a trip to Indianapolis to take on Marian University (10-3, 3-1 CL) on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m.
