SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team opened the 2020 season with a three-set sweep of Huntington University on Saturday inside the McDonald Athletic Center.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- In the first set, Spring Arbor trailed late, 22-20, but used a 4-1 run – capped by a double-block by Kyara Black and Hope Notter – to come from behind a claim the first set.
- Huntington held a 13-11 advantage midway through the second set before a 5-0 put the Cougars in front for good.
- Spring Arbor finished the match in the third set getting three straight kills from Black, Alison Nibbelink and McKenna Peters to close out the day.
- Macey Rupp posted a team-high 10 kills while Peters followed with nine in her SAU debut. Black chipped in eight more and tallied five blocks. Notter finished with 28 assists, an ace and eight digs.
- Paige Porter anchored the defense with 11 digs with Sarah Chastain picking up eight and Frances Churchwell adding seven.

Spring Arbor's match at Marian University that was scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9 has been postponed and will be rescheduled. The Cougars will travel to Bethel University on Saturday, Sept. 12.
