SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Head coach
David Darling and the Spring Arbor University women's tennis program is excited to announce that Olivia Creech will be joining the Cougars.
Creech is a standout on the court at Homestead High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Playing at No. 1 or No. 2 singles, she has helped lead her team to two sectional championships.
"Olivia is going to be a perfect fit on our team and at SAU," said Darling. "Her work ethic and attitude embody exactly what I want in my athletes. I can't wait for her and her family to join our Cougar family this fall!"
In addition to her success on the court, Creech has earned Distinguished Honor Roll all four years, is a member of the National Honor Society and is a first chair violist in the Fort Wayne Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Olivia is the daughter of Mary Alison and Stephen Creech and she has one brother, Jake. While attending SAU, she plans to major in Health and Exercise Science.
Homestead High School tennis coach Mike Hower on Olivia:
"SAU is so fortunate to have Olivia for the next four years. Her leadership, determination, and work ethic will make her teammates better. Her ability to problem solve and kindly lead others is rare. I'm excited to see the impact Olivia will make on her college team!"
Olivia's private coach Lee Ann Berning:
"Olivia is without a doubt the hardest worker I have ever worked with in tennis. She is internally motivated to be the best she can be. She will bring that kind of tenacity to her SAU team!"
