MOUNT VERNON, Ohio – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team suffered a pair of losses on the road over the weekend. The Cougars fell at Taylor University 3-1 on Friday night before dropping a 3-0 decision at Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Saturday.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Taylor entered the night having won 13 of its previous 14 matches – with the only loss coming against nationally ranked Marian University.
- Spring Arbor came charging out of the gates and posted a 25-15 win in the first set.
- The Trojans settled in, however, and bounced back with wins in the next three sets to claim the match.
- Claudia Ellis and Alison Ford had eight kills apiece while Alison Nibbelink added seven. Hope Notter recorded 26 assists.
- Frances Churchwell had a team-high 16 digs and Ford finished with 10.
- Taylor was led by 18 kills from Amanda Adams.

- Spring Arbor ran into another red-hot squad on Saturday in Mount Vernon Nazarene, which had won 16 of its previous 17 matches – with the only loss coming to Marian.
- McKenna Peters led SAU with 10 kills and Nibbelink finished with nine. Notter handed out 21 assits.
- Churchwell and Ford registered double-digit digs with Churchwell collecting 16 and Ford adding 13.
- MVNU's Ashley Stumperth had a match-high 17 kills and Nicole Winkler had 14.
