JOLIET, Ill. – The Spring Arbor University volleyball team wrapped up play at the University of St. Francis (Ill.) Big Dogs Classic by splitting a pair of matches on Saturday.
The Cougars fell to No. 15 ranked Montana Tech 3-0 before bouncing back to defeat host St. Francis (Ill.) 3-1.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Day 2 of the Big Dogs Classic began with a matchup against No. 15 Montana Tech. The Diggers remained undefeated on the season after picking up a three-set win over SAU.
- Kendall Bollenbacher had nine kills and Keely Hinzman chipped in five while Hinzman also added four blocks.
- Camy Wedge and Hayden Fortress combined for 22 assists.
- Frances Churchwell was credited with 11 digs and delivered two aces.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor closed out the tournament with a four-set victory over St. Francis. The Fighting Saints claimed the first set, but SAU responded by winning the next three to finish the weekend with a 2-2 record.
- Bollenbacher and Kelsie Lilly recorded 12 kills apiece. Hinzman followed with 11 and Mikenna Kwiatkowski added eight.
- Fortress handed out 21 assists and Wedge finished with 19. Abby Rissman tallied a team-best 15 digs while Churchwell had 14 and Kirstyn Throop had 10.
