HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University track & field teams were back in action on Saturday at the Hillsdale College Outdoor Opener.
Senior
Josiah Fitch secured his spot at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships after hitting the NAIA B standard in the hammer. Fitch registered a throw of 54.11m (177' 6") - breaking his own school record in the event.
On the track,
Shelby Cade grabbed a first place finish in the 5000 meters by running a personal-best 18:28.24. Her time ranks seventh in program history. Along with Cade's performance, three other Cougars also posted SAU Top 10 marks,
Madyson Oudbier,
Brooke Slater and
Harrison Deur.
