JACKSON, Mich. – Spring Arbor University freshman
Owen Williams became the first bowler in program history to roll a perfect 300 game to highlight a second place finish for the Cougars at Alma College's Scotty Classic this weekend at JAX 60.
Williams, whose previous season-high game was 252, kicked off the event with a 300 in his first game. The Tipton, Michigan native finished fourth overall with a three-game total of 688.
Cody Hall was the individual champion with 708 total pins, including a high-game of 278. The win was Hall's second of the season after also claiming the top spot at CL Tournament #4.
The University of Michigan-Dearborn came in first place in the team standings. The Wolverines posted a 5589 to edge Spring Arbor (5567) by 22 pins.
