Men’s Bowling Makes Second Appearance at NAIA Nationals

LANSING, Mich. – Spring Arbor University competed at the NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship at Royal Scot in Lansing, Michigan, marking the program's second-ever appearance on the national stage.

The Cougars, who received an at-large bid into the event, entered the tournament as the No. 9 seed, facing No. 8 Aquinas College in the opening round. Competing under the event's new Mega Match format – requiring teams to win two of three points across a traditional team game, a five-game Baker total, and a Baker matchplay if needed – Spring Arbor dropped a 2-0 decision and moved into the elimination bracket.

On day two, the tournament shifted to best-of-seven Baker match play, where SAU squared off against No. 4 Calumet College of St. Joseph. The Cougars battled but fell 4-2, bringing their tournament run to a close.

Spring Arbor now turns its attention to the USBC Intercollegiate Singles and Team Championships, set for April 14-18 in Green Bay.
