Men’s Bowling Receives At-Large Bid to Nationals

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The field is set for the sixth annual NAIA Men's Bowling National Championship and Spring Arbor University was announced as one of the 12 teams competing for the Red Banner after receiving an at-large bid.

It is the second time in program history that head coach Gerry Lobdell and the Cougars have earned a trip to the national championship, with its other appearance coming in the 2022-23 campaign.

The event takes on a new format in 2026, as a dozen seeded teams split into two six-team, double-elimination brackets, playing mega-match style competitions for the right to play in the championship mega-match.

The Cougars will be the No. 9 seed in the bracket and face off against Aquinas College in the first game of the tournament. The winner advances to meet No. 1 seeded Mount Mercy University.

This year's national championship takes place on Mar. 19-21 at Royal Scot in Lansing, Michigan.
