Men’s Bowling Claims Crossroads League Championship

JACKSON, Mich. – For the second time in program history, the Spring Arbor University men's bowling team won the Crossroads League Championship, claiming the title at JAX 60 on Friday.

The championship tournament featured the top-four teams from the results of the 12 Baker games at Crossroads League Tournament #4 played earlier in the day in a bracket-style, best-of-three match play to determine the winner.

The SAU men finished second after the Baker games to earn the No. 2-seed while Marian University was the No. 1-seed, Indiana Wesleyan University the No. 3-seed and Huntington University the No.-4 seed.

Spring Arbor went back-and-forth with Indiana Wesleyan in the first round. The Cougars edged the Wildcats 195-190 in the first game, but IWU answered with a 215-179 win in game two. In the decisive third game, SAU posted a commanding 245-177 victory to move on to the finals against Marian.

In the finals, Marian grabbed game one 221-213, but the Cougars bounced back winning the next two games, 209-153 and 206-178, to capture the league crown.

It was the team's second Crossroads League championship after also winning in the 2023-24 season.

In addition to the Spring Arbor men's team winning, the SAU women's team also finished first to sweep this year's Crossroads League Championship titles.
