Women’s Bowling Claims Crossroads League Championship

JACKSON, Mich. – For the second time in program history, the Spring Arbor University women's bowling team won the Crossroads League Championship, claiming the title at JAX 60 on Friday.

The championship tournament featured the top-four teams from the results of the 12 Baker games at Crossroads League Tournament #4 played earlier in the day in a bracket-style, best-of-three match play to determine the winner.

The SAU women collected the third-most pins after the Baker games to earn the No. 3-seed while Marian University was the No. 1-seed, Indiana Wesleyan University was the No. 2-seed and Goshen College was the No. 4-seed.

Spring Arbor dropped the first game to IWU 156-141, but bounced back to win the next two games, 210-201 and 213-169, to advance to the finals and take on Marian.

In the finals, the Cougars jumped on top with a commanding 214-130 win in game one, but the second game finished in a tie, 175-175, to force a third game. There, SAU finished things off with a 185-156 win to capture the league crown.

It was the team's second Crossroads League championship after also winning in the 2023-24 season.

In addition to the Spring Arbor women's team winning, the SAU men's team also finished first to sweep this year's Crossroads League Championship titles.
