Women's Bowling Finishes Top 10 at USBC Sectionals

ADDISON, Ill. – The Spring Arbor University women's bowling team turned in a strong performance at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Sectionals, finishing seventh out of 25 teams at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Illinois.

The Cougars totaled 12,096 pins across 64 baker games, competing against a deep field of programs from across the country, including NCAA teams from all divisions.

Spring Arbor entered the final block of competition in eighth place and made a late push up the standings. With three games remaining, the Cougars battled to within 30 pins of a top-four position and a potential berth to the national championships. Despite the surge, SAU ultimately finished seventh overall.

The Cougars now turn their attention to the NAIA Women's Bowling National Championship. SAU enters the event as the defending national champions and will look to defend its crown at Royal Scot in Lansing, Michigan from March 19-21.
