SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University men's tennis team won its third consecutive match Thursday afternoon, blanking visiting Olivet College 9-0 at the Cougar Tennis Courts.
The Cougars had no trouble in singles competition earning all six points. Josh Scott, Vincent McShane and Sam Head all recorded 6-0, 6-0 wins while Nick Romano, Jesse DeBoer and Jacob Byrd would only drop one game each.
Spring Arbor cruised through doubles play as well surrendering just three games total. DeBoer and Romano were victorious for the fourth straight match at No. 1 winning 8-2. Tony Mayotte and McShane shutout their opponents 8-0, and Byrd and Thomas Hall rolled 8-1.
The Cougars (9-14) conclude their season with a home match against Cornerstone University (10-9) on Tuesday, Apr. 19 at 4 p.m.
