SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Excitement was in the air Tuesday afternoon as the Spring Arbor University men's tennis team played its first-ever match at the brand new Ronald L. and Marvel C. Jones Tennis Complex. The Cougars fought hard, but were ultimately handed their first setback of the season falling to Grace College 7-2 in Crossroads League action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The match started with Grace capturing all three doubles points. The Lancers held off the tandem of Vincent McShane and Nick Romano 8-5 at No. 1 doubles, as well as Josh Scott and Alex Reinbold at No. 3 by the same score.
- Jonah Engle and Sam Head secured the lone points for the Cougars in singles play. Engle grabbed a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles while Head prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6.

Spring Arbor will compete at the ITA Regional Championships in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Sept. 15-17.
