ALBION, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University men's tennis team was firing on all cylinders Tuesday as it took down local rival Albion College 9-0.
Spring Arbor began the afternoon with a clean sweep in doubles action, which saw the debut for freshman Patrick Doerr. Doerr teamed up with fellow freshman Jonah Engle to defeat their opponents 8-6 at No. 2 doubles. Meanwhile, Alex Reinbold and Josh Scott extended their winning streak at No. 3 doubles to six with an 8-3 victory.
The Cougars prevailed in five out of the six singles matches in straight sets. Nick Romano earned his team-leading 10th win of the season at No. 1 singles.
