Box Score 2 KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University softball team split a pair of games on Thursday at The Spring Games at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex in Kissimmee, Florida. The Cougars fell to the University of Michigan-Dearborn 8-0 before bouncing back to defeat Siena Heights University by an identical 8-0 score.

VS. MICHIGAN-DEARBORN
- Michigan-Dearborn broke the game open with seven runs in the second inning, and added one more in the fifth.
- Spring Arbor was held to four hits and left five runners on base.
VS. SIENA HEIGHTS
- After being handed an 8-0 loss in the day's first game, Spring Arbor returned the favor in the second game.
- The Cougars got the scoring started in the third inning, plating three runs on a pair of SHU errors.
- Hannah Laurin led off the fourth inning with her first career home run – a solo shot to left-center. Later in the frame, Jessie Panchaud touched home on a double steal to put SAU up 5-0
- Spring Arbor tallied three more runs in the fifth to bring the eight-run mercy rule into effect. A single by Sarah Matlock allowed Jade Nowe to score and Cora Millay followed with a two-run single to right.
- Two days after throwing a complete game, one-hit shutout against Cleary University, Lauren Wirgau delivered another gem against the Saints. The senior pitcher tossed five scoreless innings allowing just three hits while striking out four batters.
