Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fl. – The Spring Arbor Softball team opened up play in the annual
The Spring Games, and took home both wins in dramatic fashion in a double header versus Point Park University.
The Cougars play 10 games over the course of this weekend and next week, with matches against other NAIA programs a part of the 67 team field.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Mackenzie Collins earned the win for the Cougars after pitching four solid innings to close out the contest.
- Junior Emmalee Hemp went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, and nearly hit for the cycle. She had two singles, a double and a triple in the contest. She also hit in two base runners.
- Freshman
Maddy Rowley played hero for the Cougars, as she drove in the winning run to lift Spring Arbor to victory in her first collegiate game.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS

Elena Jones pitched a complete game as she went the distance, striking out 7 in the process.
- Freshman
Kailey Poortenga saved the game for the Cougars, as she made an incredible over the shoulder catch to end the game with runners on 1st and 3rd base.

Emmalee Hamp scored the winning run as she drove in a Cougar baserunner with an RBI single up the gap.
