Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fl. – The Spring Arbor Softball team remained hot today, as the Cougars knocked off two more opponents in
The Spring Games, one of which came on a walk-off homerun.
The Cougars logged their first win versus Penn St. Brandywine, winning 4-3 off of a walk-off homerun.
Then, they took care of business against Bellevue University, defeating the Bruins by a score of 7-1.
The Cougars play 8 games over the course of this weekend and next week, with matches against other NAIA programs a part of the 67 team field.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS

MacKenzie Collins earned the win on the mound, as she went the full eight innings and struck out 11 batters en route to the win.
- Sophomore
Maddy Thrush logged an efficient game from the plate, as she went 2-for-3 on the day.
- The game ball goes to junior
Emmalee Hamp. She hit a 2-run walk-off homerun in the bottom of the eight to propel the Cougars to the emphatic victory.
- Hamp went 2-for-4 on the afternoon, scoring twice and knocking in two runs.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Junior
Elena Jones earned the win on the mound, logging a complete game and striking out 6 batters in the process.
- The Cougars had several hot bats in the day, as
Jessie Panchaud and
Grace Lentz both went 2-for-3, each hitting in and RBI as well.
- The Cougars held a 2-1 advantage in the 5th inning, when they erupted for five runs to put the game away. Freshman
Payton Grange was a catalyst for the Cougars, as her triple started the 5-run rally for Spring Arbor.
