Seven Cougars earn CSC All-District recognition

SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Seven Spring Arbor University track & field student-athletes have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Track & Field Academic All-District Team.
 
The CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined athletic performances and their excellence in the classroom. Earning the distinction from SAU were Kylie Brown, Hope Taylor, Allison Teed, Camden Khon, Caden Kyser, Ryan O'Rourke and Connor Swihart.
 
Brown, a digital marketing major, was an All-Crossroads League performer in the 200 and 400 meters at the Crossroads League's outdoor championship meet while also competing as a member of the 4x100 meter relay team at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
 
Taylor, a health & exercise science major, was the Crossroads League champion in the 60 meters and earned All-League status in the 100 and 4x100 relay. She was also a member of the national qualifying 4x100 squad.
 
Teed, a pastoral ministry major, secured her fourth career All-Crossroads League honor. She finished third in the heptathlon at the league's outdoor championships this spring.
 
Khon, a secondary education major, had an outstanding sophomore campaign where he earned NAIA All-American status in four events – the mile, 1500 meters, and as a member of the distance medley relay and 4x800 meter relay teams. He also garnered All-Crossroads League honors in the 800, 1000 and the indoor and outdoor 4x800.
 
Kyser, a mechanical engineering major, helped lead the distance medley relay team to an All-American finish at the indoor national meet. He also took home All-League honors in the 400 and the 4x400 relay.
 
O'Rourke, a mechanical engineering major, helped the SAU men's cross country team secure its first conference championship in 20 years. He finished seventh overall in the 8k race to earn his second consecutive All-Crossroads League honor.
 
Swihart, a secondary education major, finished top-10 in the Crossroads League in the shot put and the weight throw.
 
Eligible student-athletes need to be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average, and must finish Top 25 in a single event of a conference meet.
