UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University track & field teams continued their strong indoor season with several standout performances at the Jet's Pizza Invitational, held at Saginaw Valley State University on Friday and Saturday.
The Cougars recorded two new NAIA national qualifying marks, both of which resulted in event victories.
Tanana Emmendorfer captured first place in the 400 meters with a time of 57.06 while the men's distance medley relay team of
Jacob Singleton,
Caden Kyser,
Dean Reynolds and
Camden Khon posted a time of 10:07.68.
Alyssa Budd also stood atop the podium, taking first place in the long jump with a mark of 5.46 meters (17' 11").
Spring Arbor set two new school records over the weekend. The women's 4x400 relay team of
Hope Taylor,
Kylie Brown,
Gwen Lamport and Emmendorfer clocked a program-best 4:00.13 while
Allison Teed established a new school record in the pentathlon with a score of 3,033 points.
Additionally, the Cougars produced nine more performances that now rank among the top 10 in SAU history.
