SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Spring Arbor University's Jack Bruder has been named the Crossroads League Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
 
It is the first career weekly award for Bruder.
 
Bruder ran a time of 21:11 over four miles to lead No. 25 Spring Arbor at the Titan vs. Warrior Classic. The sophomore from West Branch, Michigan, placed ninth overall in a field of more than 70 runners.
 
The Cougars finished third in the team standings, trailing only NCAA Division I Detroit Mercy and NCAA Division II Wayne State University.
 
Spring Arbor returns to action Saturday, Sept. 19 at Calvin University's Knight Invite in Grand Rapids.
