Box Score AVON PARK, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team led the University of Saint Francis (Ill.) 1-0 heading into the fifth inning when a five-run frame broke the game open for the Fighting Saints and led to a 5-2 loss for the Cougars in the final game of the Warner University Invitational Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Saint Francis threatened early, loading the bases with two outs, but pitcher Joe Romence was able to escape the jam with no damage.
- In the second inning, Tyler Reed led off the frame with a base hit and eventually moved around to third base on a sacrifice bunt by Jack Driscoll. Reed would cross the plate one batter later when Kyle Harris lifted a sacrifice fly to center field.
- The Cougars took their 1-0 lead into the fifth inning, but the Fighting Saints would rally for five runs on four hits to take the lead.
- Spring Arbor got a run back in the sixth inning on another sacrifice fly by Harris to make it a 5-2 game. SAU would bring the tying run to the plate in the seventh inning, but was unable to score.
- Reed posted a 2-for-2 day at the plate with a double and two runs scored. Nick Harris saw his hitting streak snapped at seven games.
- Romence suffered the loss pitching four-plus innings giving up four runs on seven hits. Drew Weston appeared in relief and surrendered one run in three innings of work while striking out two.
