Box Score SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team dropped an 8-4 non-conference game to visiting Siena Heights University on Tuesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Siena Heights struck first with a run in the top of the first inning, but Spring Arbor answered with two runs in the home half of the frame. James Hall got things going with a leadoff double before scoring on a sacrifice fly by Alex Holley. Later in the inning, Nick Harris would drive in Tyler Reed with another sacrifice fly.
- The Cougars added to their advantage with single runs in the second and third innings. Jack Driscoll opened the second with a triple to right field, and would cross the plate on a wild pitch. In the third, Reed blasted a solo home run to straight-away centerfield.
- The Saints rallied back, however, plating six runs on five hits in the fourth inning to retake the lead.
- Spring Arbor threatened in the fifth, putting runners at second and third with nobody out, but was unable to score. SAU would also leave the bases loaded in the sixth inning.
- Driscoll was 2-for-2 with a run scored while Christian Davis also collected two hits, including a double. Reed's homer was his eighth of the season, which leads the team and ranks sixth in the league.
- Joe Romence started the game on the mound and pitched three innings allowing one run on three hits and struck out two batters. Gavin Harris tossed the final three frames also giving up one run on three hits.

Spring Arbor will return to Crossroads League play with a trip to Mount Vernon Nazarene University (29-18, 11-9 CL) on Wednesday, Apr. 19. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
