GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor got the only run it would need in the top of the first inning. Alex Holley ripped a double to left and, two batters later, would score on a sacrifice fly by Conner Lengerich.
- That would be all the support Harris needed as he outdueled MU's Brenden Smith. It was the first complete game shutout of the season for the reigning Crossroads League Pitcher of the Week, who allowed just two hits on the afternoon while striking out five batters.
- In addition to Holley, Lengerich and Jack Driscoll picked up hits for SAU.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor committed some costly miscues early in game two, allowing Marian to race out to a 5-0 lead after two innings of play.
- MU pitcher Brendon Neal silenced the Cougar bats, surrendering just three hits in a complete game effort.
- Chris Triplett, Nick Harris and Francisco Ondina registered hits for SAU.
- Duncan Patterson pitched three innings of relief allowing one run on five hits with three strikeouts. Sam Memmelaar made his season debut, coming out of the bullpen and tossing two scoreless and hitless innings.
