Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team concluded its Florida trip Saturday with the final day of the Warner University Invitational. The Cougars led Lourdes University 1-0 in the second inning, but a nine-run frame for the Gray Wolves was too much for SAU to overcome, ultimately falling 12-6.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sophomore Jacob King put Spring Arbor on the scoreboard in the top of the second inning with the first home run of his career.
- Lourdes pushed nine runs across on five hits in the bottom half of the second to take a commanding lead.
- Trailing 11-2 in the fifth, the Cougars plated four runs to cut into the deficit. Chris Triplett drove in three runs with a bases loaded triple, and Francisco Ondina followed with a sacrifice fly to bring home Triplett.
- SAU threatened again in the sixth and seventh innings, putting two runners on base in both frames, but were unable to score.
- Josiah Kitchen was 2-for-3 at the plate and Triplett collected three RBIs to lead the offense.
- Nick Carroll suffered the loss on the mound. Vincent Herschberger tossed three innings out of the bullpen allowing one run on three hits while fanning two batters.
