VS. NO. 10 KEISER
- Spring Arbor was unable to tame the explosive Keiser offense Monday, falling to the No. 10 ranked Seahawks 17-5.
- Chris Triplett put SAU on the scoreboard first with a solo home run in the top of the first inning. Keiser countered with three runs in the home half of the frame to take control.
- The Seahawks, who rank as one of the top offensive teams in the country, never relented, scoring multiple runs in every inning but the third.
- Triplett finished the afternoon going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Jack Driscoll also drove in a pair of runs with a seventh inning double.
VS. NO. 4 SOUTHEASTERN
- Southeastern exploded for eight runs in the second inning.
- Spring Arbor chipped away at the deficit, closing the gap to five in the fifth inning, 10-5. The Cougars scored once in the third on a RBI single by Francisco Ondina and three times in the fifth behind run scoring hits from Ondina and Danilo Leon.
- That was as close as SAU would get, however, as the Fire put the game out of reach with a two-run homer in the bottom of fifth inning.
- Spring Arbor was held to five hits. Ondina collected two of those going 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored.
- Five different pitchers appeared in the contest. Andrew Manier suffered the loss. Sam Memmelaar and Vincent Herschberger each tossed an inning of scoreless relief.
