- The lead was short-lived, however, as Grace tallied three runs in the home half of the first and one more in the second inning to grab a 4-2 lead.
- Trailing 4-3, the Cougars took advantage of four Lancer errors in the fifth inning to plate three runs.
- Nick Carroll would ensure the lead stood, tossing four scoreless innings to record the save.
- Triplett went 4-for-5 at the plate with two stolen bases, two runs scored and an RBI. Jack Driscoll and Francisco Ondina picked up two hits each while Lorey and Peyton Harding collected two RBI's apiece.
- Gavin Harris secured his fifth victory of the season. He pitched five innings surrendering four runs – three earned – on five hits. Carroll, who has not allowed a run in his last four appearances, was outstanding out of the bullpen. The left-hander allowed just one hit in four innings pitched while fanning five batters.
