Box Score 2 MARION, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team dropped both ends of its doubleheader Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan University. The Wildcats won game one 12-1 and game two 10-3.
The victories gave IWU the three-game series sweep over the Cougars and also clinched the Crossroads League regular season championship for the Wildcats.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Indiana Wesleyan scored eight runs in the first inning and never looked back.
- Spring Arbor was limited to five hits in the game. Francisco Ondina went 2-for-3 with an RBI while Chris Triplett, Vincent Herschberger and Duncan Patterson also recorded hits.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Cougars trailed 5-0 after five innings in game two, but cut into the deficit with two runs in the sixth. With two outs and the bases loaded, Josiah Kitchen delivered a clutch base hit to bring home James Hall and Patterson.
- The Wildcats answered with five in the home half of the sixth to put the game out of reach.
- Spring Arbor registered 12 hits. Kitchen went 3-for-4 while Jack Driscoll, Peyton Harding, Danilo Leon and Patterson posted two each.
- Gavin Harris suffered the loss giving up five runs over 4.2 innings of work. Nick Carroll tossed two scoreless innings of relief while striking out four batters.

Spring Arbor wraps up the regular season with a home game against Huntington University (18-20, 16-8 CL) on Tuesday, May 1 starting at 3 p.m.
The Crossroads League Tournament begins Friday, May 4.
