Box Score 2 SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team dropped a pair of games to open its three-game series with Taylor University on Thursday at Hank Burbridge Field. The Cougars fell 13-1 in the first game and 10-4 in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Taylor scored three runs in the first inning and one in the second to grab an early lead. That would be all the support TU starter Clay Riggins and the rest of the pitching staff needed.
- Spring Arbor scored one run on two hits in the first inning, but was held hitless over the final six frames.
- Vincent Herschberger had an RBI single in the first inning while Jacob King also single to extend his hitting streak to six games.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Taylor jumped on top with a run in the first inning again in game two, but Spring Arbor tied the score on a solo home run by Francisco Ondina in the bottom half of the frame.
- With the score tied 2-2 in the fourth, Herschberger snapped the deadlock with a solo blast – his third of the season.
- The Cougars led 4-3 heading into the sixth inning, but the Trojans tallied four runs on five hits in the sixth to take control of the game.
- Evan Lorey had three of SAU's seven hits, going 3-for-4 at the plate. King picked up another hit, moving his hitting streak to seven games. Over the last seven games, King has posted a .400 batting average going 10-for-25.
