Box Score 2 LOGANSPORT, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team was swept in a doubleheader Tuesday by Huntington University, giving the Foresters the three-game series sweep of the Cougars.
Huntington prevailed 8-0 in the opener before coming from behind to defeat SAU 6-4 in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Huntington grabbed a 4-0 lead after plating four runs in the home half of the third inning – all with two outs.
- Spring Arbor threatened in the fifth and sixth, leaving two runners standed in both innings.
- The Foresters added to their lead with two runs in fifth and two more in the sixth.
- Brant Mast picked up three of SAU's six hits going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate while Evan Lorey finished the game going 2-for-3.
- Gavin Harris suffered the loss on the mound surrendering six runs on eight hits in four innings pitched. Aaron Spry added one inning of scoreless relief.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Looking to avoid the series sweep, Spring Arbor scored the first four runs in the game. The Cougars scored two in the third on RBI hits by Conner Lengerich and Jacob King. Two innings later, Mast delivered a clutch two-out, two-RBI double to put SAU on top 4-0.
- Huntington answered with four runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning to tie the score.
- The Foresters took the lead for good in the seventh, recording three consecutive two-out hits to plate a pair of runs.
- Lorey went 2-for-5 with a run scored. Lengerich had one hit, an RBI and two runs scored.
- Jon Williams worked four innings allowing three runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Zachariah Devon suffered the loss giving up three runs in 2.2 innings of work. Evan Lorey pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
UP NEXT
Spring Arbor hosts Grace College (7-6, 3-3 CL) in a three-game series this weekend. The two teams will play a single nine-inning game on Friday, Mar. 22 starting at 3 p.m. before playing a doubleheader on Saturday, Mar. 23 starting at 1 p.m.
