Box Score 2 LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team split its first two games at the Warner University Invitational, falling to Bellevue University (Neb.) 6-0 and defeating the University of Michigan-Dearborn 15-7.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Bellevue plated two runs in the first inning and two more in the second to open up an early 4-0 lead.
- Spring Arbor threatened in the bottom of the first, putting runners on second and third with only one out, but was unable to capitalize.
- The Cougars were unable to get much going offensively after that, collecting just three hits the rest of the way.
- Zachariah Devon pitched five innings, allowing just three earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts. Aaron Spry tossed two innings in relief and surrendering one run on one hit.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor led 4-1 after three innings of play against Michigan-Dearborn before Brant Mast ripped a two-out, two-RBI double down the left field line in the fourth to increase the margin to 6-1.
- Mast delivered again in the sixth, tripling down the right field line allowing both Vincent Herschberger and Duncan Patterson to score.
- Already leading 9-3, the Cougars broke the game open with a six-run seventh inning, capped by a Steve Salow two-RBI single.
- Mast and Herschberger posted three hits apiece. Mast also drove in five runs while Herschberger had three RBI's and scored four times.
- Evan Lorey earned the win on the mound. The left-hander pitched 4.2 innings giving up two runs on three hits while fanning six.

Spring Arbor faces off against Siena Heights University at 9:30 a.m. and Warner University at 12:45 p.m. on day two of the Warner Invitational on Friday, Mar. 8.
