Box Score INDIANAPOLIS – The Spring Arbor University baseball team fell to Marian University 3-0 in the opener of its three-game series on Friday evening.
The Cougars were unable to get the key hit they needed, leaving 10 runners on base – the fourth straight game SAU has stranded at least 10 runners.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Marian manufactured the game's first run with a base hit, a sacrifice bunt and a passed ball before scoring on a sacrifice fly.
- Spring Arbor threatened in the fifth, putting two on with only one out, the Knights were able to escape the jam.
- Marian added a pair of insurance runs in the eighth on a two-out, two-RBI double.
- Chris Triplett and Brant Mast combined for four of SAU's six hits.
- Zachariah Devon allowed just one unearned run in five innings pitched while striking out three batters.
