Box Score UPLAND, Ind. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team saw its season come to a close in the Crossroads League Tournament, suffering a 19-8 loss to Goshen College in an elimination game on Monday morning.
Spring Arbor finished the season with an overall record of 23-29.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Goshen jumped on the scoreboard right away with a three-run home run in the top of the first inning.
- The Maple Leafs would extend their lead to 7-0 after four innings of play.
- Spring Arbor closed the gap to three, 7-4, after a four-run fifth inning. The Cougars scored all four runs with two outs with back-to-back-to-back RBI hits from Chris Triplett, Evan Lorey and Conner Lengerich.
- Goshen held a 10-6 advantage through seven innings, but broke the game wide open, scoring nine runs over the final two frames.
- Lengerich finished the game going 3-for-4 at the plate with a single, a triple and a home run. He also collected three RBI's and scored twice. Triplett and Vincent Herschberger picked up two hits apiece.
