Box Score 2 OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team opened its spring schedule on Friday with a doubleheader against Brescia University. The Cougars defeated the Bearcats 8-4 in the opener before posting a 13-6 victory in game two.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Glenn Miller delivered the big blow in game one. With the Cougars already leading 4-1 in the second inning, Miller belted the first home run of his collegiate career, a three-run shot to put SAU ahead 7-1.
- Hunter Nielsen earned the win on the mound while Vincent Herschberger picked up the save.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Spring Arbor grabbed the lead in the top of the third inning when Ben Redfield crossed the plate on an RBI groundout by Brandon Haynes.
- The Cougars broke the game wide open with a seven-run fifth inning. Jacob King, Evan Lorey, Herschberger and Peyton Harding all drove in runs.
- Sean Cassel was the winning pitcher.
