AVON PARK, Fla. – The Spring Arbor University baseball team kicked off the 35th annual Warner University Invitational with a pair of wins on Thursday. The Cougars walked-off with an 8-7 win over the University of Michigan-Dearborn before pounding Siena Heights University 29-0.

VS. MICHIGAN-DEARBORN

• Spring Arbor trailed 7-5 after five innings, but fought its way back to tie the game in the sixth when Brant Mast delivered a two-RBI single.
• The Cougars scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh on a wild pitch.
• Nick Carroll went 2-for-4 with an RBI and run scored. Logan King and Mast collected two RBI's apiece while Zach Kraabel, Ben Redfield and Mast scored two runs each.
• Aaron Spry tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless relief and Vincent Herschberger earned the win on the mound.

VS. SIENA HEIGHTS

• The 29 runs were the most scored in a single-game by Spring Arbor since the Cougars put 35 on Valley Forge Christian in 2012.
• SAU scored in every inning but the seventh, including plating 14 runs in the sixth.
• Four different Cougars homered, including Brock Mullins, who hit a grand slam. Logan King hit his first career big fly while Mast and Redfield also went deep.
• Redfield went 5-for-6 at the plate with seven RBI and four runs scored and Zack Callahan went 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored four times. Four other Cougars had multi-hit games.
• Alex Stephens picked up the win on the mound after pitching five scoreless innings giving up two hits and fanning five batters. Nich Christian and Travis Hunsberger each tossed a scoreless inning of relief.

Spring Arbor plays two more games on Friday, Mar. 6. The Cougars open with Madonna University at 10 a.m. before facing No. 2 ranked St. Thomas University at 1 p.m.
