SPRING ARBOR, Mich. – Five members of the Spring Arbor University volleyball program earned All-Crossroads League honors, highlighted by First Team selections for senior
Kendall Bollenbacher and junior
Keely Hinzman.
Bollenbacher caps her decorated career with her fourth straight all-conference honor, previously earning Second Team recognition the last two seasons and Honorable Mention as a freshman. The senior delivered another standout campaign, leading the Cougars in kills with 316 (2.72 per set) while also posting a career-best 374 digs.
During the season, she became the program's all-time career kill leader with 1,376, and surpassed 1,000 career digs becoming the first SAU player in the 25-point rally-scoring era (2008-present) to record both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.
Hinzman earned her third straight all-league selection, building on an Honorable Mention freshman season and Second Team honor last year. She took another major step forward in 2024, recording 225 kills, hitting a career-high .278, and serving a team-leading 41 aces. She anchored SAU's elite blocking unit with a career-best 145 total blocks, the most in the Crossroads League this season.
Junior setter
Camy Wedge and senior outside hitter
Kelsie Lilly were named to the Second Team. Both were Honorable Mention picks as sophomores and continued to be key contributors in one of the league's most balanced and improved offenses. Wedge handed out 774 assists this season, blowing away her previous career-high. The Maumee, Ohio native also posted a career-best 335 digs and served up 38 aces. Continuing the theme of career-year's, Lilly had the best offensive campaign in her time at SAU. She finished with 288 kills and a .228 hitting percentage. She also registered career-bests in digs (134) and blocks (82). Over her four years, the Adrian, Michigan native totaled 873 kills.
Isabelle Kirkendall rounded out SAU's selections, earning Honorable Mention recognition. The junior outside hitter — Second Team a year ago — was once again a steady presence on the outside. She tallied 268 kills and added nine aces. Defensively, she picked up a career-high 105 digs with 40 blocks.
Spring Arbor completed one of its best seasons in over a decade, finishing with a 23-10 record – the program's most wins in a single season since 2009 – and advanced to the Crossroads League Tournament Semifinals.
