As a member of the Spring Arbor University women's track and field program, Heidi (Bock) Tucker built one of the most accomplished and impactful careers in school history. A five-time NAIA All-American, she earned multiple All-Conference and conference championship honors and became the only female long sprinter to be named WHAC MVP, winning multiple events at the conference championship meet during her senior season. On the national stage, she captured an NAIA Indoor National Championship, placed third in the NAIA indoor 600 meters, and helped the 4x800 relay win an NAIA national title. She was also a key contributor to the SAU cross country team that finished second at the NAIA National Championships and a member of the NCCAA National Indoor Championship-winning team.
Heidi's excellence is further reflected in the record book, where she currently holds six university records and appears 12 times on SAU's all-time top-10 performance lists, including school records in the 400 meters (57.21), 600 meters (1:33.97), and 800 meters (2:12.28). Beyond her competitive achievements, Heidi's leadership left a lasting legacy, as she helped reshape the sprinting culture within the program through her work ethic, character, and example. A recipient of the NCCAA Wheeler Award, her love for God, commitment to her family, and dedication to her teammates continue to define her influence long after her competitive career concluded.
